Since time began I’ve been here, upon this planet earth,
I’ve seen the birth of all mankind, I’ve watched him prove his worth,
I’ve listened when he told the truth, I’ve heard him when he lied,
I’ve seen him fight his many wars, I’ve stood there whilst he died,
I’ve watched this world once young and strong, grow weak beneath his rule,
There was a time when he was kind, but mostly he was cruel,
I saw him get up off all fours and stand erect and proud, and I was there on judgement day,
To see his final shroud.
If ten million years should pass, and ten more million then,
I’m glad to say, there is no way, I’ll see his like again.
